Black cohosh (Actaea racemosa) is native to Canada and the United States.* It has been used traditionally in herbal medicine to ease nervous tension, relieve muscle and joint pain associated with rheumatic conditions (such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and/or fibrositis), and of pain associated with neuralgia (such as sciatica).* Black cohosh has also been used traditionally to help relieve the pain associated with menstruation and relieve symptoms associated with menopause and premenstrual symptoms.* Its ability to alleviate symptoms of menopause has been studied in randomized controlled clinical trials.* A part of this effect can be attributed to the high content of triterpene glycosides in black cohosh, which may help reduce levels of luteinizing hormone and activate dopaminergic receptors.* Black Cohosh SAP provides high quality black cohosh extract for relief from menopause and premenstrual symptoms and helps support mood balance and pain management.*
